Wed May 18 2005 | LIVE 8 TO TAKE PLACE? STING TO ATTEND?

Sting CDs at eBay USA | eBay UK | eBay DE

According to the BBC, Live Aid II is to take place in London’s Hyde Park. Indications for this are among others that the Prince’s Trust has cancelled its annual Party In The Park concert that was scheduled for July 2, thus making way for the possible event.
The Mirror added today that among the stars lined up are Joss Stone, Elton John - who may duet with the Scissor Sisters - Sir Paul McCartney, Madonna, U2, Robbie Williams, Coldplay, Oasis, The Who and Eminem, Annie Lennox and ... Sting. All will be performing for free. Apparently, Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof has so far denied plans for Live Aid II - dubbed Live 8 -. However, it is even rumoured that a similar concert may take place in Washington on the same day.
The event will support the Make Poverty History campaign, which highlights the global problem that a child dies every three seconds due to extreme poverty. U2, The Rolling Stones and Sir Paul McCartney have already confirmed that they will perform, no news on any other artists, including an expected Sting performance.
An official announcement is to be expected on 24 May.
Live 8 would coincide with the G8 conference, which is due to take place in Scotland on July 2.

I HOPE OASIS DON'T PLAY.They're not worthy to share the same stage as some of the above mentioned artists. They're like an old yoghurt - way past the sell by date !

Spike how rude! lol! I think theyre alright! Just my opinion, youre welcome to yours too!! :P
On Newsround i think it was (you know the kids news they put on b4 Neighbours, lol) they said that Live Aid 2 was to include most of the line up of Band Aid 20 (newest one) including U2 and Bob Geldof, no mention of Sting (or in fact Oasis)!! But i reckon Sting will do it, hopefully!!

So.. how much are tickets?! ;)
