The rather cheesy (and actually bad) remake of" We are the world", recorded on February 1st, 2010, in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios), namely "We Are The World 25 For Haiti" was released. Anyway, it is for a good cause... we couldn't spot Sting though.
Sting sang Driven to tears at the Haiti telethon...the much better charity show in comparison to We are the world 25. That song was crap in 1985, and even more so in 2010. Furthermore, the discussion around whether Jackson (or Jackson family members) were to sing in it was beyond embarrassing and much ado about nothing like all things Jackson.
...and he "ass" that we please listen. It's as "good" as it was in 1985. It just sounds like 2010. Isn't it "lovely" how music has "evolved" since than?
