well, i'm not going to be sleeping very well for the next week or so, in this case... i never thought a world tour from the police would happen again. ever. please oh please oh please come to australia!!!!!!!!!

There's too much info now for it to be speculation. I saw Sting at Margaret River, Western Australia twice in early 2005 and it's interesting that since those concerts he has now gone back to playing the Police songs in the style which The Police themselves used to perform - to me that seemed a precursor to a possible reunion, but who thought it would ever happen?! Like tj07 I agree please come back to Australia, my wife won't let me travel to the US or Europe to see them in concert.

if it was pure rumour then it wouldnt have been asked to be taken down. they obviously want to cause of a bit of a shock and some excitement when they announce the police are playing. cannot wait!!!

Here what I think is going to happen.
the "surprise" event on the 11th will take place (most will not expect it).
then an official announcment the next day which will include a tour and new album).

I heard a report on Vancouver station Rock 101 - that Sting, Stewart & Andy are in Lions Gate Studios rehearsing for a tour! The call came from a friend of a studio staffer that they're there under the name Sting & Friends.

This has to be a good sign right?

'Sting and Friends'... hm, either a clever guise designed to indicate 'more of the same' from el gordo, or a deliberate attempt to provide a 'hint' to the fans... or an unimaginatively written rumour.... i mean, surely they would just rehearse under a completely unrelated name, like 'Golden Chicken' or 'The 24 Assassins of Frenner Kennerton'. Sigh! All these rumours.. sure is fun! :)

Well, since two days ago Sting were in Mexico City dining with his wife Trudie.... and saome days before they were in Havana learning salsa dance. All these rumors are becoming really crazy!!!!

We got word in Vancouver today - again from our rock station Rock 101 - that they're in town. Arrived today, rented gear and will begin rehearsing immediately. Either for the grammys or a tour - no confiirmation either way there. But something's coming down the pipe...
