Per another site site we have heard the same word. Album to be released in May of 2006. Granted nobody seems to know or wants to tell us if its a live, greatest hits, studio, or a box set.

But when I went to Universal Music's website I saw no mention of the album in upcoming releases. Sting.com also isn't making any mention of it. Something fishy seems to be going on and its not my last name!

I don't think we or I am questioning the source of the information. I'm just questioning all the "secrecy".

I remember when "Nothing Like the Sun" was to be released. At first I didn't have a release date and kept pestering the record store and anybody else I could. Finally a "public date" was put forth and I circled my calendar.

Finally the date of the release had arrived. I went to the record store wanting to be first in line if possible, but it wasn't to be. The date I had been given was the date the album was to be delivered to the store...

We appreciate the news regardless of the source... and well the natives are getting antsi...

Hey who's been complaining?!! :P Certainly not me, well i hope not anyway!! :/ I'm not so sure about Sting performing at the O2 festival in London - simply because his name doesn't appear on the bill and it seems abit strange that he'd play it!! However, as far as the CD releases are concerned i don't doubt that at all!! ;) I appreciate what you do here stingus, very much! Somehow you always seem to get news before ANYONE else and I only very very rarely doubt its accuracy!! :)

OK so you didn't mention 'new material', thats just us obsessive people 'hearing' what we want to hear i guess!! But ya never know!! ;)

The news has cleary been inaccurate in the past. Esp. the thing about sting and stewart brawling about the right to use sting's songs in the film. Stewart himself shot that news down personally, on his site. Stingus didn't even bother to rebut its own FALSE news with stewart's comments.

Keep on doing good job and don't worry about complaints. Great website truly it is!

Dear Buttamos, please read the article on Stewart again, you will see his comment was added about it being not true the moment it became available.

some people just aren't able to read and comprehend, so it seems;-)

Stingus just prints the news as they hear it. If someone prints an article they pass it on. They don't necessarily subscribe to the contents of the story.
They keep us informed of all the changes.

Lol! Well its probably because we're not sure! I mean Stingus never actually said theres gona be a 'new' album, we just hope that there is!! :P And the majority of summer tour dates stingus announced have been confirmed by sting.com, so beats me too mr beat!! ;)
