"Come Together Now", an all-star double album to benefit victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, is due in mid-November 2005. 30 tracks are confirmed so far, most of which are previously unreleased, and more will be announced soon. The set has a strong Crescent City tilt, with Sting's "Moon over Bourbon Street", Harry Connick Jr.'s "City Beneath the Sea" and Kirk Whalum and Coolio's "When the Saints Go Marching In". Also contributing are Norah Jones, Dave Matthews, Clint Black, Louis Armstrong, John Mayer, the Neville Brothers, Fats Domino and Brian Wilson.
The cooperation of EMI, Sony BMG, Universal, Warner and Concord, along with the Recording Industry Association of America and participants' unions, means that at least $15 from each CD (suggested retail price: $19.98) will go to the hurricane relief efforts of the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and MusiCares.
In addition, Jessica Simpson, the Rolling Stones and Sting are among a host of stars who have donated items for auction, in the ongoing effort to raise funds for America's hurricane victims. The online charity auction, by Charity Folks and Citizens Helping Heroes, features a long list of celebrity- donated memorabilia, which will be sold off to benefit the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund and the National Guard Family Program.
The auction, which began Wednesday and ends on October 27, also includes items from Al Pacino and Maroon 5, among others.

I was right with being "Moon over Bourbon Street" on the Hurricane Relief CD;-) Well it is a logical conclusion, isn't it? ;-))))
But it sounds very nice with the artists partaking and the songs that will be on it......Indeed cool!
A real joint venture is it, too. MusicCares has a lot of work to do with musicians who have lost everything in that hurricane....

you are correct..mismanagement and poor structure can ruin all aid. Well, this is politics because polititicians failed everyone regarding that!
