Some more updates on the new Herbie Hancock CD "Possibilities"¯ on which also Sting is featured with a new rendition of "Sister Moon". Footage of the recording can be seen here.
Sting, who is performing a new version of "Sister Moon" on Herbie Hancock's new CD "Possibilities", had the following to say: "Herbie Hancock has been an iconic figure in my personal pantheon for many, many years. Long before I was fortunate enough to work with him I had followed his startling trajectory from his work with Miles Davis, the Headhunters and up to the present day. While the core of his work has always been jazz, his openness to new ideas, technological as well as musical, has bestowed on him an ageless and natural 'hipness' that sits well with his playful genius. A deeply spiritual and delightful human being, Herbie rocks!"
Herbie Hancock's highly anticipated duets album, "Possibilities," is being co-released by Starbucks Hear Music, Hancock Music and Vector Recordings on August 30 in the U.S. and Canada. The album features the Jazz master collaborating with world renowned musicians including Sting, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer and Carlos Santana.
