UK fans, a reminder that the Sting concert from the 2nd night at Hammersmith is on the radio tomorrow, Thursday 29th at 8:00pm, on Radio 2. If anyone manages to get a good quality recording on cd please give me a shout if you would be prepared to do a copy for me. :-) Thanks!

I just tuned in and ... I'm disappointed to learn that they will only be playing highlights. And those highlights won't start for another 20 minutes. Is this something BBC Radio 2 does often? I'm wondering how many songs we'll get to hear and I hope they play more than the hits. I was really hoping to hear All This Time, I'm So Happy, and The End of the Game.

Here are the ten songs played on the radio highlights in the order they played them (i.e. Magic first not All This Time).

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
All This Time
Seven Days
Demolition Man
Driven to Tears
Fortress Around Your Heart
Fields of Gold
Hounds of Winter
Never Coming Home
Every Breath You Take

A great selection, Driven To Tears, Fortress and Hounds stunning. A shame we didn't get to hear the whole concert, yes what was all that about, the highlights only on for an hour, ok well I am glad for the hour we had anyway!

Yes, it's too bad we didn't get more of the concert, but it was nice to hear something. Hounds was the highlight for me.

And Jayne1, you forgot to list Heavy Cloud No Rain after Fields of Gold.

Great concert. Wish we'd gotten more songs, but there we go. Hopefully there will be an official, full concert release from this great tour.

The sound is great, and has a ring of authentic experimenting to it. I gave this tour a miss because I would have loved to see it in Newcastle... bring on the play!

To answer your question about an official live version of Fortress, no it wasn't on the Bring On The Night live album, I don't think it is there on any b-sides either ... but I might be wrong as I don't have every single...

It was on Seas of Silence... the most amazing live bootleg if you can get it, which has Why Should I Cry For You, Wild Wild Sea and Soul Cages amongst others... wow... can't remember where that was recorded off the top of my head (Wembley 1987?). Also there are great live versions of it on two more bootlegs, Sting live at Stuttgart (1988) and the Chicago Sessions (1993).

It is thanks to Alan I have these so I am not able to say where you may obtain them now, maybe try the download sites/file sharing sites?

Firstly, there is loads of footage of this gig (the one recorded for the radio) on youtube. Here is Driven To Tears and there's loads more if you want to look and make yourself a dvd!

Secondly, thanks to my wonderful friends Paul C and Steve M for the dvd and the cd of this show! You know who you are, absolute stars, thanks. :-)
