... I thought it was time to bring up Rupert Bear again!! (Sometimes things get too serious on here, we need something silly - thats what im here for!!) Did any1 used to watch it, or have the books read to them, or read it to their kids? Cute bear with yellow checked trousers and scarf!! I think its kinda old, but my sisters had the books so i got em passed down, lol, it was a cartoon on the TV too! Anyway, i just think sometimes Sting kinda reminds me of Rupert Bear, he's so cute!! lol!

Hi Lady Dolphin,I can see where your comin' from with Rupert The Bear.
And it's not that bad a similarity either!In fact,it is the No.1 Sting cartoon Lookalike,until someone else comes up with anuzzer('Message in a Bottle' spelling of another).It has just made me wonder,that when The Police were
the Biggest Band in the Universe 1980-83,it would've been brilliant had
Hanna Barbera,or a similar company made a Cartoon TV Show about them.
Just like had been done with The Jacksons,The Beatles,and The Monkees previously.That woulda been gas!The individual personalities of each band member would have made it a cartoon to be enjoyed by both kids and adults.What a wasted opportunity.Miles,you slipped up mate !
But then again,perhaps a cartoon WAS then made,of a mild mannered, softly to posh spoken chap who lives surrounded by a lovely forest,and once you hear what he has to say,you go to great lengths to seek him out and watch him play with his friends !
