Hey, I just wanted to introduce myself before diving into the discussions.
I'm 20 and from Berlin, and I fell in love with Sting when I first saw him in "Rise & Fall" with Craig David. He was just so different from everything I'd ever seen: Extremely handsome and with an amazing voice. And even though most of my friends cannot understand my obsession at all, I'm not going to stop loving him. In about a month, I'm finally going to see him live which will hopefully heal the wounds from missing the Police concert because of my (horrible) prom :-(
Well, yesterday, I happened to come across this side and I'm just overwhelmed by this HUGE amount of topics. It's almost impossible to read them all but I'll do my very best ;-)

Well, all of his songs are great. There is just always something for no matter what mood you're in. I really like the songs he tells a story in, like "I hung my head" or "Moon over Bourbon Street" or "Tomorrow we'll see" and so on and so on... They are ALL fantastic :-)

My walls looked ecaclty the same when I was 16-20!!! Now I'm nearly 30 and there's still (or only?) one little picture on the wall in my whole flat...in a frame.. with an autograph...;)

I've already read quite a lot about you, reggadabla. I don't know why you want to make everybody hate that album but as far as I'm concerned: I really like it. It's not that typical Santa-Claus-Reindeer-Christmas-stuff but something deeper. I'm even going to the concert, so I'm certainly NOT going to tear off those posters. It's okay if you don't like the album but you should at least be tolerant enough to accept that others do.

I've read most of your posts in most of the threads here and never said a word. But I have to say, to me the negativity is getting old. Really really old.

A new vistor comes here and you have to go negative again?? Why? What is the point of your posting if not to try and tell people what to think in your own subtle way? That has always been how it's come across to me.

Then you say you state the obvious. How is your original post to Jill88 stating the obvious? That makes no sense. Telling her she may tear the pics off the wall isn't stating the obvious. Unless the only obvious to you is your reality.

I have no problem with opinions, none at all. Mine is such right now. But I think everyone who posts here frequently knows how you feel now. The message is loud and clear. Do you really think you have to continue twisting the knife every chance you get?

Let Jill88 enjoy her love of Sting before you try to destroy it, as I feel you do with most posts even though you say you don't.

Wow, how did I miss this fight. The title of the thread was so innocuous. Welcome Jill. Believe it or not, most discussions are quite intelligent and thought provoking, even though spirits do get high occasionally.

As for Reg - I wanted to post some thoughtful things but then I realised I would only be ignored and get insulted. So he is something we will just have to learn to live with and accept his presence because he has a right to be here. Maybe we should just skip his posts while reading.

Jill it's not you its just certain posters here that have this lovely ability to get under ones skin or on ones nerves from time to time.

By the way I've finally listened to If On A Winters Night as a whole. And while some songs miss the target for I still give it a 7 15/16 out 10.

I´ve never seen such an awful post on this forum like the one from reggedabla directed to seagull. What would happen if another member posts like this in the forum? Would stingus tolerate that.....? Sorry, but I´m really upset.

Well, honestly I think Reggadabla is fine, except for the dumb part attacking Seagull. The thing is I don't see someone getting ban because he doesn't like Sting. At least he's talking about him. I would understand if an user was talking all the time about cars that he would get a notice, but here I don't see the point in asking Stingus anything.
