How often do you say when listening to Sting: "This is the most fascinating song I've heard in my life"?

Ok -

Two songs I'm totally fixated on and have been are Children's Crusade and Something The Boy Said. (Ok there's more - I'm just giving prime examples of songs that are definite faves of mine)

I've been fixated on them for years. Same goes with songs like Why Should I Cry For You, Island of Souls, I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying, etc.

Granted - I listen to several artists. I love some of their stuff to death and think that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. And even though I absolutely adore their stuff, I hear a certain Sting song and think to myself "I've never heard a more fascinating song in my entire life."

At times I've questioned how much of a favorite artist Sting is compared to others I listen to, only to realize that after all these years, he hasn't left my system one iota.

I just think that's awesome:)

Listening to his music is usually comparable to picking a good old book that you like to read cover-to-cover. I get fixated on different songs, at different times depending on my situation and/or mood. Something the Boy Said and Voices Inside My Head rate among my favorites...but it's a big list. No other artist carry as much weight with me...the "B-sides" and rarities from The Police days and his own recordings are especially fun to discover.

children crusade, i burn for you, be still my beating heart, the soul cages (the latter two have particularly great bridges), you still touch me (his most joyous love song), they dance alone and it's exuberant latin coda.
yes it's indeed comparable to a good book, however since i'm not much of a reader i compare this stuff with a deep breath lungful of air, if you just focus on all tiny little details of the song it sucks you in and consumes you totally.

Tomorrow We'll See, Big Lie Small World are a couple of my favorites not already mentioned here. And if it's lyrics you're interested in, the otherwise underappreciated Sacred Love is really packed with verses (I love Dominic's comment about them on the "Inside" DVD that Sting's fans are "really getting their money's worth"). Stolen Car (Take Me Dancing), the title track, Book of My Life, and of course Dead Man's Rope all have fascinating lines

I totally agree thumper "Tomorrow We'll See" and "Big Lie Small World" are fascinating story telling songs and one of favorites although only on "Inside The Songs Of Sacred Love" ( I have to hear Sting singing it) is "All Would Envy" Others "Sister Moon"It's Probably Me",(the Eric Clapton version) and "When We Dance". My Police songs "Wrapped Around Your Finger","Demolition Man" and "I Burn For You". But I love them all for the most part.

Roxanne, Invisible Sun, Every Breath You Take, Wrapped Around Your Finger, Russians. Last one for trying to say that we`re similiar in the whole world. Love the way it sounds and love music. And I`m Russian))) Love Invisible Sun for the fantastic sound, Sting did the song really good.
