If the November DVD release of the Argentina concert is anywhere close to the quality of the Isle of Wight concert currently being broadcasted on some HD stations, fans are in for a treat. They played Message, Magic and Lonely, Stewart fans would be happy that he is loud in the mix, played very well, the band was on, Andy was on and not spaced out, no mistakes, and Sting was great even with some vocal problems although his bass could have been a tiny bit louder, overall, great mix and one of the best performances I have seen of the tour. I hope the DVD is as good, if not, maybe the full Wight concert would eventually be released.

Would Sting ever have a professional concert filmed of a solo tour of this quality? I say never! Why? His management sucks!

I think HD technology is coming into its own very quickly. Blu Ray has won out, and I think we'll be seeing a lot more concerts released in those formats from now on. I wouldn't put it past Sting to have his next tour captured in the same way. I mean, ...all this time was a superb concert in my opinion. Everything from the picture, a gorgeous widescreen display, to the surround sound. I definitely think his management dropped the ball on the BND tour DVD, but they learned their lesson.

9, I believe the Isle of Wight is very incomplete. 3 songs or so circulating around somewhere. If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

The idea of a Police show being described as a "treat" disquieting, to say the least. : )
Obviously written by a "Copelanite". : )
When the drummer of said band can't keep proper timing then I don't think this could be described as a "treat". : )
If a drummer doesn't sound like a drum machine than he is obviously not good. : )
I can't tell you how satisfying it is now that Sting has gotten over this nostalgia trip. Playing tunes that people enjoy is apocalptic. : )

Long live Vinnie Colaiuta. : )

Isle of Wight was 3 songs only, aired on the HD station Palladio on Comcast... I don't think the full concert is available.

baht, we've been shanghied!!!! :)
hey there buddy, get your own identity! :)
i'm really flattered, by the way. to go that extra mile in order to do this....i'm honored and touched. truly.
but to correct you on two points, the drummers i happen to appreciate do not sound like drum machines - nor would i care to use the term 'Copelanite'. :)
but other than that, you've created a fairly credible hybrid there. :) now go and get your own identity, dagnabbit! :)

Whats going on?! I thought only Sting had a clone! :P

Wasn't this the Isle of Wight festival? Did anyone here go? I think the Police should have played more festivals!

I am amazed by Trini's comments...it's something I am not accustomed to.

what's going go on here? what's the catch?

glarbaht....really....c'mon now....only a few more days until "Mom & Dad" get home kids!

Identity theft is hardly the highest form of flattery. :) Here I am, reformed and humbled, having returned with the basic goal of being a 'kinder and gentler Baht' and this is the treatment I receive? :) Now I would never claim that I have made immense progress towards my goal at this present time
But I'm tryin', Ringo, I'm tryin' real hard.

no need for any IP investigation, 9. it was funny and i can take a ribbing of that nature - i was happy to play along and it appears that baht did too (btw, i caught the Pulp Fiction reference at the end) besides, i don't think glarbaht was who you think it was. there's a whole lot of :) going on. all good fun....
except for the drummers essentially being drum machines - that just ain't right in any way. some drummers have a built in metronome in their brain and others don't. but the human element is always there. it's just that i prefer those closer to superhuman. :)
