The spirit beyond STING

I´m surprised how much people (not only here) talk about the Sting-ego. Sting is highly interested in yoga and imo in buddhism as well. And the main goal in buddhism is nibbana, which means that the mind is free from the context of ego. Ego is an illusion (a projection of our minds). In the space of our minds we project ideas about ourselves and "the others". All these projections and material wishes forms an ego. Sting is imo higly aware of this. It´s not "his" ego, because Sting is ego. What makes us alive is not our personalities, but the energy of spirit. Mind is a tool of spirit and this tool creates ego. I´m not amazed by Sting. I´m amazed by the spirit that manifests itself through Sting. We are spirits in the material world. I hope this was understandable. :) Jan 04, 08 | 12:43 pm

Yes absolutely right, I read some books about a fascinating part of buddhism called Vajrayana, I might say it's close to tantrism. The main goal is to realize the illusion of our ego (although this idea is a really profound and complex idea). Sure Sting is aware of that.

I don't know what this train is doing up here, but never mind.
About Sting and "his" ego. Well I think he is just an ordinary person, with more life experience than a lot of other people. What makes him extraordinary is the fact that he is doing something with it, he is in a constant learning process and is inspiring people to do so as well. He is not living the ordinary life of ordinary people, but he is also not living the ordinary life of other celebs. Jan 14, 08 | 1:50 pm

I agree with you, sweetwine but don't you remember that the pleiades cluster core radius is about 8 light years and tidal radius is about 43 light years. The cluster contains over 1000 statistically confirmed members, although this figure excludes unresolved binary stars.
And then you can always use a roller chain with a 1/2" pitch provided your bicycle is modern. That chain comes in either 5/32", 1/8", 3/32" or 3/16" roller widths. THE NIGHT TRAIN
In the unreason of a rainy midnight France blooms along the windows Of my sleepy bathysphere, And runs to seed in a luxuriance of curious lights. Escape is drawn straight through my dream And shines to Paris, clean as a violin string, While spring tides of commotion, (The third-class pianos of the Orient Express) Fill up the hollow barrels of my ears. Cities that stood, by day, as gay as lancers Are lost, in the night, like old men dying. At a point where polished rails branch off forever The steels lament, like crazy ladies. We wake, and weep the deaths of the cathedrals That we have never seen, Because we hear the jugulars of the country Fly in the wind, and vanish with a cry. At once the diplomats start up, as white as bread, Buckle the careless cases of their minds That just fell open in the sleeper: For, by the rockets of imaginary sieges They see to read big, terrible print, Each in the other's face, That spells the undecoded names Of the assassins they will recognise too late: The ones that seem to be secret police, Now all in place, all armed, in the obvious ambush. But even while suffering, there's hope everywhere ... even outside Chicago ...
Elevator's Rising! http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=FcPmBKi_rB8 From Universal News Page ... "Pennies for Peace Program with Mr. Greg Mortenson! February 15th, 2008 Universal School's 6th through 12th grade students attended on Thursday, February 14th to the Donald E. Steven Convention Center in Rosemont to meet Mr. Greg Mortenson, author of the Best Seller " Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a time " and founder of the Central Asia Institute, a non profit organization aimed at promoting and providing community based education, specially for girls in remote mountain regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mr. Mortenson and Amira, his daughter captivated the hearts of the audience with his work and dedication for others, and after a magnificent presentation, Universal School's Principal, Mrs Siddiqui presented a check for the amount of $ 8,000.00 raised by our students to help the children of Pakistan and Afghanistan to have their dream school and education. Mr. Mortenson was so grateful for such a donation and promised Mrs. Siddiqui to come to Universal School to meet our students again. " http://www.universalschool.org/news.htm Mar 12, 08 | 11:43 am

Just "WONDERING"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTw8QWHkf0w Now dreaming . . .It went like this. I found myself walking in a casino. As I walked by a slot machine I put in a coin. With one play I found myself surrounded by blinking lights and coins spilling forth from the machine. I had won the jackpot. It was either S900.00, or $900,000 dollars I can’t remember. (I think it was $900.00). As the machine was spitting forth its prize suddenly the flow of coins slowed, became clogged, jammed, and stopped. An attendant appeared over my right shoulder and opened the bottom with a key. As he opened it 5 small rodent like creatures scurried up the sides of the machine and up the wall. I thought they were mice. The attendant said “It must be rats”. Sure enough as he swung open the chest of the machine several dead rats and a filthy nest like area were exposed. What we saw running away were babies. I said “It looks like they have been there awhile, couldn’t anybody smell this when they were decomposing?” The attendant smiled and chuckled as he pointed off in no particular direction and said “Look around, how could we”. Disclaimer: Although I don’t spend too much time in casinos, I have nothing against casinos at all - to each his own. It was just a very real, vivid, movie-like dream. Any psychologists in the house? Is the movie Casino any good? May 07, 08 | 1:49 am

OH yuck yuck yuck. I am not afraid of rodents but I can't tolerate them either especially Rats. You think they would clean out their machines once in awhile. I live very close to a lot of casinos so I go there once in awhile If I thought there were rats in them I would walk away and never come back. I have never won more than $80 though. Too bad it wasn't the $900.000 Strabismus. Stop Laughing there are a lot of casinos in the midwest. There are 3 just across the river from Omaha in Council Bluffs Iowa.
The video was lovely. And yes the movie "Casino" is good if you like those kind of movies. May 07, 08 | 1:44 pm

STing will always be an egotistical man. HE needs to control and manipulate the situation. For now he is doing that with the POlice. That is why the set lists are boring, short and he is not challenging two other great musicians and the crowd. Sting has become boring banal. HE talks about challenge but his last album and this current tour proves that it is not. Sting should just make the Police album

As I was riding my cycle down the road I noticed a group of crows pecking at something in the middle of the road. As I approached they all, except one, fearfully and cowardly, retreated to the high canopy of the trees. As I passed their smeared dinner I couldn’t believe my eyes. The one that was left was one of their own. Crippled from the lower half down, still alive, it appeared to be devouring itself. Some sort of twisted self-abuse I suspect. It appeared to be tastefully enjoying the humiliation of its own massacre. It may have been a trick of the wind which appeared to be giving it life but my testimony would be that this creature was still alive and feasting on its own self.

Ok this is really getting... oh wait can't use that word per um... I will let you the readers insert your own word in that spot.
Stewarts site is being sane compared to whats happening here at Stingus.net The Police fans got a reunion tour, Stewarts fans know this and for what I've read are happy with it (granted I didn't read many of the threads). I figured that the tour would start, more people would become members, we would start having Police VS Solo wars during the tour. Then more of the same afterwards - which we seem to be having. We have those people that love to stir the pot, thats fine its their opinion. We have those that swim in the pot while its being stired. We have those that um smoke the pot... and then we have me whose body has gone to um pot (I guess I better go to the gym - yeahhhh rightttttt) Now we do need that Romper Room Time out room whose building it? You read my dream sweets.
I was on Bet-lehem road just outside of Jerusalem asleep. In my dream I found myself, and I, in a restaurant in the Armenian quarter of Old Jerusalem having a pizza. On the television in the restaurant there was a horse race going on and the whole world was watching. The track ran around the perimeter of the wall of the Old City. The two horses in the lead were named Ashqelon and Ashdod. I awoke before my dream ended to a whispery voice saying "Iran may deliver". I wish I would have sent it to you two weeks ago. Yesterday during a nap (still dreaming) I was in a hospital in a meeting with all the "heavy hitting" leaders of that organization. I saw a plastic bag moving around the room and tried to interrupt their meeting but it seemed unimportant to them. Suddenly, a great black bird of some kind swooped down and flew in the bag. The bird seized a mouse (which was causing the bag to move about) in its beak and it too became trapped into the bag. The bag left the room and began causing turmoil throughout the hospital. To the observer it was just a bag moving about wreaking havoc. Its contents were a mouse and a great black bird of some kind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqHfser_9_s Happy New Year to all and to all a good night. I am now awake. Dec 31, 08 | 4:32 pm

It seems these nefarious & unseemly unseens are clustering heavily now. They too love freewill. They are now in a dry place, working, and waiting for their next “open” target. The infestation of Charles Manson remains . . . for now. The pig story. Binghamton. Appallingly sad. We are on their trail and saw them last night while asleep! You have no idea what your up against! Good news, Strabismus!
GRIZZLIES DROP OPENER TO RASCALS http://www.gatewaygrizzlies.com/news/?id=6732 June 10, 2009 - O'FALLON, MO.-The River City Rascals defeated the Gateway Grizzlies 7-2 Wednesday night in the first of a two-game series at T.R, Hughes Ballpark. The game was called after seven and one-half innings due to heavy rain. The Grizzlies (6-11) managed just four hits against Rascals' starter Jake Laber. Laber went the distance for the win. Chad Rothford accounted for both Grizzlies runs on a seventh-inning two-run home run, his third of the year. Charlie Lisk was 2-3 with a double and a run scored. Joseph Scaperotta had the only other hit for the Grizzlies. He finished 1-3. Joel Boeschen (0-2) suffered the loss for the Grizzlies. Boeschen allowed six runs, five earned, over 5.1 innings of work. He struck out four. The Grizzlies and Rascals (11-6) will finish the short series Thursday night at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm. Thought for the Day, June 15, 2009
http://www.mertoninstitute.org/weekly_reflections.php "... before reading, meditation and worship turn into contemplation, they must merge into a unified and intuitive vision of reality. In reading, for instance, we pass from one thought to another, we follow the development of the author's ideas, and we contribute some ideas of our own if we read well. This activity is discursive. Reading becomes contemplative when, instead of reasoning we abandon the sequence of the author's thoughts in order not only to follow our own thoughts (meditation), but simply to rise above thought and penetrate into the mystery of truth which is experienced intuitively as present and actual." ... "[T]he contemplative intuition of reality is a perception of value: a perception which is not intellectual or speculative, but practical and experiential. It is not just a matter of observation, but of realization. It is not something abstract and general, but concrete and particular. It is a personal grasp of the existential meaning and value of reality." from "The Inner Experience" by Thomas Merton, pages 59-60. Jun 15, 09 | 4:04 pm

Chicago White Sox nip Chicago Cubs 8-7 "For much of the afternoon, it was a ragtag playground contest of leapfrog, one that finally ended in a massive impromptu game of piling on. Yes, the White Sox celebrated at second base like kids, burying Gordon Beckham, the youngest of the bunch, in a scrum after he drove home the winning run Saturday with a dramatic walk-off single against the Cubs. "To do it against the Cubs in the ninth inning with a walk-off is pretty special to me," Beckham said." ... :-) Jul 08, 09 | 8:05 pm

Cubs forever? Well, Cub "allure" is undeniable, this one was born the day after Led Zeppelin's 2007 reunion concert (which was also the 39th anniversary of Thomas Merton's death)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0Vu81YcpWU Problem is, the cubs get bigger and can adopt human behavior: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Sky-News-Archive/Article/200806413649520 "Court Finds Bear Guilty Of Stealing Honey 9:28am UK, Friday March 14, 2008 A bear has been found guilty by a court of stealing honey from a beekeeper. The animal was convicted of theft by the court in Bitola, in Macedonia, following a year-long case. However, he was excused from attending court. The case came after a beekeeper reported the bear for stealing his honey. He told the court he had to protect his hives by playing thumping folk music. Beekeeper Zoran Kiseloski told the court: "I tried to distract the bear with lights and music because I heard bears are afraid of that." He said he bought a generator, lit up the area and played songs by the Serbian turbo-folk star Ceca. The court heard the bear stayed away for a few weeks but returned when the generator ran out of power and the music stopped. Mr Kiseloski added: "It attacked the beehives again." The court found the bear guilty but since it had no owner and is a protected species it ordered the state to pay for the 140,000 denars (£1,700) damage it caused to the hives There is no information on the bear's whereabouts."
