Our spies discovered the box held a hot tub specially ordered for Sting, who, after soaking his Boston audience, sought to soak himself before heading to New York - where, by the way, the opening band, Fiction Plane, features Sting's son, Joe Sumner, who told "MSG Extras," "I would have done anything in my power to avoid this situation, but couldn't turn down a paying gig."

Police: Message in a Hot Tub

The Police wrapped up the first leg of their world tour last night to a very sold out 55,000 fans at Giants Stadium. Now they take a break before starting up again in Europe.

And so to dispel two stories from the local papers this past weekend. Sting did not order a hot tub to be helicoptered to him New Hampshire last week. The hot tub was being installed at the house of his host, who’d been waiting for it for weeks.

The house is on an island, an insider explained. "There’s no other way to get it there."

But Sting says he likes the idea of people thinking that’s the way he lives. …

Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler, affectionate though she is, did not "make out" with gay Rolling Stone editor Jann Wenner the other night at The Box following The Police show at Madison Square Garden. I guess it makes for good copy.

But Styler and Wenner were on opposite sides of the room, for one thing. She was only touchy feely with her hubby.

He was with his long-time lover and co-parent of their child, Matt Nye. The twain did not smooch, snog nor otherwise trade spit. …

Well, I tend to believe RF more than these hacks at the New York Post although Friedman sometimes is a bit biased towards the Weinstein brothers, their movies and Miramax, but that is another story. RF certainly likes Sting & Trudie, too and has, so far, never reported any bullshit about them;-)

Actually Friedman co-produced a movie called "Only the strong survive" in 2002. anyone know it? It is a biopic about R'nBs greatest and got good reviews. Friedman's newest plan for a project, a look at todays and 80s, 90s popstar hypes has been put back though by studios - telling that it didn't fit in anywhere. Oh well. Would have been interesting to check out something that dissects hype, lipsynch concerts and dumb PR strategies in order to sell records which aren't worth listening to at the first place.......

You're welcome.....Actually, I had to look up the word "hot tub" in leo.org:-) Can you believe that? Despite holding an MA in English and taking a state exam in translating I didn't know that word;-) the things you learn when you read about Sting.......;-))

I had to look into the dictionnary too to understand what "hot tub" means !!! And that's true that reading things (lyrics, articles, comments here on Stingus,...) about Sting really helps us to improve our English !! ;-)

BTW, could we have a hot tub here on Stingus? !! lol. Even a virtual one where we could meet together and relax...OK that's already what we are doing here !!!
