IfYouThere you probably have no idea what we're talking about, we're not complete lunatics - honestly, lol, you might want to read the last hijackers thread tho, and perhaps the one before that, I can't even remember when we invented this Good Sting & Evil Sting thing, but theres a Sting quote in the last thread which proves its true!! lol! :D And Kipperbug, erm... ask Gonefishing about that!! ;)

Micra, Good Sting needs to be working on his new album whilst Evil Sting tours with the Police - oh if only! LOL!! :P

Not Kipper Bug that's for sure. I wonder how Evil Sting will hide that fact that he is the one doing THe Police Reunion. He must have kidnapped good Sting and hid him somewhere. OMG do you think he's in the basement too. Or is he just preparing Good Sting to do this Police Reunion. Whipping him in to shape so to speak. Mooooowahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody peek down the basement. Just don't let Evil Sting see you. I think the record company is paying him.

Wow I really think we need to read the threads better. We keep repeating things that have already been posted or asked and NOW especially we are sounding redundant as people are so excited about this Reunion possibility, so
read through the threads more carefully we're getting a little dizzy on here with our heads full of Police dreams.

This is the best place to talk about what I have to say... I don't think that bringing up the Coco Sumner And The Ladyboys thread would do any good, but I've just been aware that Coco had actually said she was reading this forum...

I should read better sometimes because I was totally unaware of that... until yesterday. I think Micra you had contact with her...

So she was actually sad about what we said (or some said) in the thread ? I didn't quite understand what was the deal... And god I hope it has nothing to do with the Brandnew's pictures... You know lol ! :D That would be sooo bad ! I think I'm on the blacklist forever then hahaha... I mean, I just would like to know, did she mention anythnig about that ?

Thanks to answer my feared doubts...

@brandnew:
she didn't mention our innocent pic thread, nevertheless I send her a message to explain her how things went. She replied thanking me for explaining her the situation. I swore her our heart was pure.

She was angry for some comments about her "professionality" on singing and playing, and the quality of her songs. She said we were been very rude with her. I also tried to explain that it was just love that makes fans speak, and that we wished her all the luck and fortune in music field.
That's all....

Have you seen this :

Supanet.com

Quote --> "Somewhere in between millions of Police albums and a jazz-rock solo career, Sting managed to produce Mickey Sumner.
Mickey splits her time between a career as a model and working as an artist."

She's number ten of the "most elligible women in England". Why is that ?

Last year a Men Magazine (a luxury one, don't think to Playboy, please) made a chart with a readers' survey on who they thought was the most elegible "bachelorette"..... Micket just ranked 10th on the Top Ten.
Criteria were look, elegance, patrimonial situation (lol!), social visibilty....

Katie ranked among the Top Ten best dressed women in UK.

Well Kipperbug deserves a little freeedom now but someone put him in his room at least the mess will be contained. They have to let Good Sting out again to finish this Lute tour. Or he won't do The Police Reunion. But I think after the Disney Concert he was back in the basement rehearsing. Stewart and Andy were at his house in Melibu. But he probably has the Florence tickets in his pocket and forgot to give them to the vendors. That's typical. Or Kipperbug ate them.

If you go by plane to Canada you now need one.... same with Mexico. As I recall they (US) will do same with U.S. citizen going by car. Funny or not funny is a friend of mine flying from Anchorage Alaska to Seattle, Washington needed a passport because they were flying over Canadian airspace - at least thats what the friend told me.

I can't believe the crap they are puttting people through just for the sake of Homeland Security. Last time I went into Canada (July 2001) all they asked for was ID not even a birth certificate. And better get your passport early , because now there is a waiting period. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They didn't even ask me for that the last time I went - just where I was from.

I said to my friend how stupid it was but added if they went over that area in Canada where we had gone fishing one year I probably would have jumped out of the plane - made sure I had the fishing pole but forget both the passport and with my luck the parachute :D And with luck making a splashing entrance into Canada - hopefully without landing near an Orca...

I have a hard time understanding the camparisons between The Police and Sting. It is all so ridiculous. It doesn't matter who you like better or the guy sittng next to you. It has all been great music no matter how you look at it. You may prefer The Police to Sting or vice versa but we obviously have enjoyed the music at some time or other. Who cares who people think is better. Guess what it's still Sting and we are all fans or we wouldn't be here.
Love The Police Love Sting and have a great time with all of it. "Don't worry Be Happy"

These threads have really gotten to the point where everyone is a critic of the threads. It's like we can't have fun anymore without someone getting mad.
Just don't pay attention to those threads you don't like if you think their silly FINE but don't berate the rest of us for having fun. Start your own thread if you have something more serious to discuss. And most of us don't think The Police Reuniting is The Second Coming although I have felt that vibe too at times. And if people think it is SO WHAT let them be excited about the whole thing. I really think I have had enough it is getting wierder and wierder on here these days and feels rather strange.

Maybe so brandnew but I don't see where those of us that have been here for a long time are doing anything differently then we always have. We get serious when it is warranted and have fun when it is warranted. but it does feel diffrent on here for some reason.

a lot of new posting people maybe, due to the Police reunion... Maybe it's the testosterona I have been asking for in the "how many men on Stingus" thread... Well, now that I'm looking back in time, a voice is telling me we were more happy with the Physique threads... :D

Lol, I agree too!! ;) I wouldnt discourage any new posters, not at all, but I think there are a load of new members who are solely "Police fans" from the old days, who havn't taken any notice of Sting since he left the Police until now, and thats fine but I think a few of them are still a bit angry at Sting for leaving the Police in the first place, for some reason, and its creating a bit of an atmosphere!! They just need to lighten up a bit and get used to our sillyness!! Feel the Sting love people!! ;)

It has been suggested that this upcoming Police Reunion is being treated like the Second Coming of Christ. Compared to the hype of the Super Bowl The Police Reunion looks like a Sunday school picnic People just love what they love. DA BEARS but I really do like Peyton Manning SO good luck to both teams. They have also touted The Police on the Grammys through the whole of the super bowl hype shows. (maybe they should have got them to play the halftime show)

Ok this stripper issue has gone beyond reason. It is a matter of choice on whether you go or not. It's alright either way you choose but it is not that big a deal. In the U.S., and I'm not saying people are not exploited, it is an adult choice to be a stripper. I have noticed most males are older than your average female stripper, usually it's college boys making money to pay their way through school. You'd be surprized how many medical students do this for the extra cash. They are not always sleazy clubs either some are very up scale. Mostly women go to the professional shows put on by production companys's I have never been to a female strip show so I couldn't tell ya how those work. But some local clubs have shows on the weekends. For the most part it is all in good fun and a very good laugh. Don't make too much out of it. And don't knock it either. Chippendales may be coming to a Casino near you.

Herbie is now going to tour Aus and NZ with Vinnie? Wow, that'd be the gig I would really yearn to see this year. Have you seen those clips from the European tour yet, glarb? Just awe inspiring...no human should be that damn amazing. He has even more freedom than while he was playing with Jeff...which come to think of it, doesn't this all seem like deja vu in some way? Somewhat reminiscent of the Beck tour (which I still am sore about not getting a ticket for :) in the way that they are going on the road for brief tours spread out over a stretched out period of time. Maybe just maybe Hancock will bring this lineup to the US and this time, I will paying closer attention to venues and ticket sales. It's a long shot, he toured the US last year with a different band, but one can hope, right? :)
By the way, I turned down an offer to see the Madison Square Garden show. ;) My brother and sister-in-law were stunned when I told them I wasn't interested enough to cross the street to see a free gig, why the hell would I waste my cash and have to travel? So they are most likely taking two of her friends and they will surely enjoy themselves drinking and talking the whole time while being able to claim that they were there to witness the nostalgia act.

I would surely love to see the Herbie Hancock show. It sounds thrilling. I would love to see The Police. But it has gotten so crazy that I am just going to bide my time to see how close they get on the second leg of the tour. If I get to fine if I don't fine. I will live vicariously through a DVD of their gigs,
Good for Kipper. I still would love to get a hold of his CD but it is hard to find here in the U.S.

:) So as far as you are concerned I am a FOOL :)
Really I would be no fun at all to be attending a Police concert with. I know this, I admit it. I 'd be scrutinizing the players' skills, really listening with intent concentration, just as I do at all shows I go to.
So it even goes beyond my previous remark about how I wouldn't even cross the street blah blah blah. Why would I want to go to the concert and be a killjoy for everyone else? See, I am quite the considerate guy...am I not? :)
And if I can get my grubby little fingers on a bootlegged copy of that Hancock AVO Switzerland gig, I'll let you know. If you didn't already know, here is the setlist:
Actual Proof / Watermelon Man / Stitched Up /Maiden Voyage
Virgin Forest / Cantaloupe Island / Chameleon
I'm determined to get a copy and I will e-mail you if I do....even though you call me FOOL and get tickets to see Jeff Beck without letting me know the tour was coming to my very own backyard. See, that's just how sweet a guy I can be. :)

They finally let Sting out to go and do his Lute tour. But they made him swear he'd come back and rehearse some more for The Police Tour. They know he;ll be back. He'd be foolish to give up all that money. And if Trudie doesn't buy a new castle, he might actually get to spend some of it.

This is someones take on what happened backstage after they performed on
The Grammy"s Remember it's a joke:

"A MUST read for all us Police freaks.

By GEOFF JOHNSTON
Published: February 15, 2007

It's Grammy night. Having just finished a rousing medley of the Police's greatest hits, guitarist Andy Summers, drummer Stewart Copeland and bassist/vocalist Sting gather backstage to bathe in the afterglow of yet another reunion performance.

Hey Gordon, Gordy, Gordo, the big Gord man, how's tricks?
Subject(s): Police reunion SUMMERS: That felt good.

COPELAND: Not bad. Not great, but OK.

STING: You managed to get through it without noticeably degrading the integrity of your snare drum.

COPELAND: I'm sorry, what?

STING: Like, a few years ago at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony when you blew open your snare.

COPELAND: I was trying to play over the sing-along din of your Top 40 friends.

STING: They weren't my friends.

COPELAND: Well, I certainly ain't mates with Gwen Stefani or John Mayer.

SUMMERS: I ran into Steven Tyler at a CVS Pharmacy a little while ago, and he was all like—

COPELAND: Shut up, Andy.

STING: Andrew, the grown-ups are talking.

COPELAND: Seriously, Gordon. When are we going to get back on track with this whole thing? You've had your little solo career, you've indulged the acting bug, you've mastered the Klingon language and you've effortlessly crossed over into adult contemporary and light jazz. What more do you want?

STING: My name's not "Gordon." It's "Sting." And Sting wants to have sex with that snack table for several hours.

COPELAND: Snack what?

STING: Over there with all the finger foods and hors d'oeuvres. Whenever Three 6 Mafia is done wolfing down shrimp toast, I'm going to go over there and have sex with that snack table for 12 hours straight.

COPELAND: Real cute. That shit was funny maybe last century. But far be it from the magnificently talented Gordon Sumner to perform any worthwhile original material since, like, 1984.

STING: It's Sting. For the last time, please call me by my proper name.

COPELAND: For the last time, your proper name is Gordon Matthew Sumner. You arrogant cock-hole!

SUMMERS: Sometimes people will ask me if we're related, and I have to tell them that your last name is "Sumner" with an N and my last name is "Summers" with two M's. Also, there's an S at the end. So, I think those would be the most noticeable differences between—

STING: Andy, I want you to go find me a massive block of ice, and then I want you to sculpt it into a life-size replica of me. Then I want you to put the ice sculpture of me next to that snack table over there and then I will have sex with it for four consecutive days or until it completely melts into a pool, whichever comes first. Wait, strike that last part. Even if it melts into a pool, I will continue to have tantric intercourse with it for four successive days.

COPELAND: My balled-up fist is about to have tantric intercourse with your stupid face.

SUMMERS: We could record a cover of the theme song to Cops. That would be cheeky, eh? The Police covering the Cops theme, right? Bad boys, bad boys, what ya gonna do? What ya gonna do when they —

COPELAND: Shut the fuck up, Andy.

STING: Andy, please do shut up.

We need them to be more happy...

It's so strange that Sting is so boring when he talks on stage or when there's a camera, and then, when he's with his boys in a paper interview or a unprepared interview, he's so funny... I don't understand that, he could rock on interviews if he stopped repeating the same stuffs...

Nah, Sting's not bipolar, on the labyrinth dvd he jokes about John Dowland being bipolar, he wouldnt joke about it if he was!! If Sting did say that about being manic-depressive in the Police I think he meant it as a result of his situation, not a medical condition!!

So then, how about we have:

Good Sting
Evil Sting
Happy Sting
Sad Sting

Happy Sting is Sting now, Sad Sting is a Sting of the past - from the Police and his early solo career, and sometimes comes back to haunt Happy Sting, but mostly Sad Sting and Happy Sting are at one with each other!! In fact they could join together and become Balanced Sting, then we have a spare Sting, how about Chocolate-covered Sting - that one's just for us!!! :D

Sorry to say it but...only a lithium taker could write a song such "Lithium Sunset".
That song could be used as an example to describe what to be a bipolar is like.
And Sting's frency in everything he does, is very thipical of bipolar people....they should avoid inerthia, they should do something, if they stops, they fall in deep depression.....loads of creative artist are bipolar, I think Sting has learned to balance and use for good his condition.

Bwahahahaha Lady D that was good. Balanced Sting, Chocolate covered Sting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Ghosting may be right if he is Bipolar he has learned to overcome it by his practice of Yoga which has so many aspects to put your life in order with no help from medication. But he could just be a manic depressive and has overcome that too. He seems like he is OK now whatever he is doing.
So all of us Freudian analysts here need to just enjoy the music and WHO CARES if he is Bipolar or Manic Depressive. He seems balanced now and we can just enjoy him.

Reading about that subject, I remembered I had the article following:

Sting Mental Health 2002

Everyone has their ups and downs. We all face problems. None of us has the right to judge other people. There ’s still a real prejudice when it comes to people admitting they have a mental health problem. We need to tackle this stigma so people can speak out and get help.
For me, it ’s been important to realise that I need some kind of balance in my life. There have been periods when I have been in a dark place. I was in a bad way during my Police days. I suppose I discovered that success didn't automatically bring happiness. I couldn’t have got through this time without support from my friends and family.
I ’m very lucky because creating music is great therapy in itself and works both sides of the brain. There are lots of other things that I do to help me relax. I ’ve been doing yoga for ten years, which helps me focus my mind. In yoga, you learn that the mind and the body are intrinsically linked. And it ’s essential to keep them both in good shape

Ok it seems to me like a lot of people on here, especially the musicians, do not take some of us very seriously and that our opinions don't count for much.
But a lot of us know more than they think. I am a musician but I have not played in awhile because of arthritis. But my disabilities do not mean I don't know MUSIC. We all have our own opinions but I wish we wouldn't get ignored so much by certain other people. Some of us have had wide and vast experiences with Music. Trust me I have heard it all including some of the chopped and screwed rap that is out there. I am willing to hear anything at least once. And so do a lot of us.
