There's a wondefully well written article on Sting.com. An interview of trudie Styler.
Here's a link that leads to it (probably not exactly the good page because it's in PHP)

http://sting.com/news/interview.php

At the end of it, the author (probably a woman) says :

"I don't tour with him any more but we don't like to be more than a couple of weeks apart so I do try to catch up with him. We have homes in America [on both East and West Coasts] so it does involve a fair bit of going backwards and forwards".

Interesting (mean crazy rich people ;)

I meant : "At the end of it, Trudie says (and the author relates) :

"I don't tour with him any more but we don't like to be more than a couple of weeks apart so I do try to catch up with him. We have homes in America [on both East and West Coasts] so it does involve a fair bit of going backwards and forwards".

What is wrong with people - wealthy ones - having more than one home??? Sting has mentioned several times that with his constant travelling, he used to live in hotels. It made more sense to have a home on the East coast and one on the West of the U.S., they keep spare supplies of fresh clothing, a stocked fridge, comfortable beds and chairs so that when the concerts are over they can go "home" and relax with their own things around them. He is saving money really, if you compare the cost of hotels for himself and the band, plus meals, etc. I believe their homes in England and Italy are sublet when they are away. In any case, they show common good sense by having homes away from home, and while critics of Sting and Trudie continue puking their bile at the couple, they just go on living the way they wish, nobody's business but their own.
