In the past we have kept news from being published for various reasons: e.g. the gig in the house of Sting which we knew of months in advance, but which we could not announce, otherwise the house would be "stormed" by fans.
Secret gigs that took place in Holland and the USA, etc. The same thing withthe movie of Stewart, we knew about it, but we could not tell anything.
UM = Universal Music: they provide us information, but some cannot be published before e.g. an official press release or before Sting.com announces it. It is as simple as that.
These are "obvious reasons" for us.
BTW, we never claimed a NEW The Police album with NEW material would be released, however we were informed that a new release is forthcoming. With what on it, we do not know.

Maybe Stingus would tell us more openly if people would stop running over to Sting.com and asking them if this is true. If we fans could be reliable and just store the info provided here, then we wouldn't have a problem.

If people here want to treat the people at Stingus like conspirator, then why are they here in the first place??

wouldn't tell your people a thing and then we'd never know anything.

There is no story. Just mass confusion as to what is a "rumor" and what is real. We'll know what's what when the cd comes out or doesn't. Remember "patience is a virtue", unfortunately it's hard to come by when it comes to Sting. LOL

FACT 1. The Police release we mentioned here, but which we had already included in the news section a few months ago is the forthcoming DVD release of Stewart's latest project, "Everyone Stares - the Police Inside Out", which will be accompanied with another interesting release ... more on this later.
FACT 2. A new Sting release is pending, but now that we have more info (what it will contain, how, who, etc.), we were kindly asked NOT to release this, which we will respect. However, do not expect any such release before the summer ... and yes, you will all like it.

So, keep it in this forum, and do not go yelling to other websites, etc. what we posted here. If we see this pop-up anywhere else, and also by referring to us, we will seize all postings immediately. So you better be warned (you meaning the dudes nagging to everyone about us).

I've been very happy since I heard this. I can't wait until summer. Sting rules...so much for that "writing is getting harder" bit.

The site says the date was removed after universal.dk contacted them and said the date was uncertain as it is likely to be pushed forward...that means before fall of 2006, not after.

I'm not sure where this information about 2007 is coming from, but I'm still very skeptical of it until I see some proof.

Stingus, hypothetically, if something drastic in this timetable had changed, would you tell us? If, again, we keep it in this forum. Please everyone, keep it in the forum.

Don´t worry Plaster. Stingus said this year. Also I have some confirmations, that the new Sting album will be released in the end of summer 2006 (or in fall). ;)

New album is MOST LIKELY not for this year. We know this actually from a close collaborator from Sting who informed u that seeing the state of the recordings so far, no new album is to be expected before end of this year. This news was confirmed by two other sources also to us 2 weeks ago.
More as we get it.
