These two items have been recently posted on the dime place. Anyone know anything about them? I like the Ghost demos....haven't had a look at We Burn for you yet.

Hi Bedilia,

We burn for you is great. Really intimist filming.

By the way, have you received my mail because my burner is in good health now. I'm able to send you what we talked about. So after tomorrow, I will send (sure you don't want anything else ?).

See you !

The quality on the Ghost Demos is remarkable considering their age. Most of it is just Sting on his Synclavier and the songs are more or less finished. Fascinating stuff!

Now if only the Soul Cages Demos would surface... :)

I'm listening to it right now and am impressed at the sound quality and how almost completed the songs are.

Just one question when did they decide to add Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.

I think there's all a story about that song because it was not enough Policified... There was a guy Canadian guy or a French guy who played the piano part and Sting did all the song himself.

Andy and Stew were not very keen on that song.. It was not a song as a Police's song should be... Then they've tried to make disappear all Sting's arrangements (it was their basic policy all the time)... But it didn't work.

They've failed to change it. Then Stew said to Sting that it was okay, that he will play the drum part. And actually, the version that has been released was done in one shot by Stewart. It's so amazing that Stewart did that in one time. No rehearse, nothing.

That's all I know...

I read/heard that Jean Roussel is the pianist on the song. I just would have liked to haver heard Stings demo to see how close it was... granted most of the demo stuff was close or you could hear how close the arrangement the demo had to the final version.

You can also see the upcoming Police wars that were going to start up because of how close the one man demo was to being finalized.

I've mentioned these demos to Police fanatics time and time again that Stewart and Andy probably added as much to Sting's music as Branford Marsalis did to Nothing Like The Sun. Well, here is the proof, the songs are almost complete without them, the arrangements are more or less done. If Sting asked Vinnie Colauita to play on those tracks, the songs would have been just as powerful.
