Also, there are spanish versions of why should I cry for you (Vengo del Sur)and My funny friend and me, an Italian My funny friend and me as well plus an italian Mad about you. The List goes on.... But you gotta admit that Sting's pronounce is much better in 'La Belle Dame...'! I hate how he sings 'J'aurai toujours faim de toi' in 'Hungry For You'. Sings it like an American. The rest of the song is okay.

Actually on anuzzer official release,Sting does speak a word or two of French which has not been mentioned above. Can anyone guess what it is ? It's right at the beginning - There's a clue ! Spike. Aug 16, 05 | 8:36 am

He has sung some Irish ballads with the Chieftains and some of the words are gaelic Mo Gila Mear [My Hero]is one of them. The gibberish that oct. is
referring to may be some of the stuff he adds on to some of The Police songs like The Beds To Big Without You and several others. Maybe oct. would like to more specific. He surely can't be talking about Stings lyrics. Aug 29, 05 | 5:54 am

No not talking about sting's lyrics . Songs like masoko tango and dededododo.I enjoy portuguese for its romantic accentuations.I also dated a girl from the azores ,beautiful women as well.

Spike are you referring to 'You're Under Arrest' by Miles Davis?!! He he!! Where Sting shouts that thing that policeman have to say when they arrest people - in French!! He talks about it in Broken Music, he had to ring Trudie in a restuarant to get the translation from her! lol! Id almost forgotten about that until i started reading the bok again the other day!!
Id love to hear this track, i cant believe i actually found the CD on amazon (but not on amazon.co.uk unfortunatly), you can listen to a sample of the song but its only an instrumental bit!! You're Under Arrest Anyone heard that track?!! Oh btw i meant to mention this before, has any1 checked out the Sting.com jukebox recently? When did they change it? Theres some really cool Sting tracks on there now, many of which i hadnt heard before, including the Spanish versions of Mad About You and Why Should I cry for you, a groovy reggae version of This Cowboy song, the US radio mix of After the Rain - better than the original IMO, Jnauary Stars, Pirate's Bride - never heard this track b4, its beautiful! AND the original demo of Every Little Thing, which id also never heard before!! Im well pleased with this choice of songs, i hope they keep it like that for a while!! :-) Sep 01, 05 | 8:43 pm

There are also Spanish and Italian versions of My Funny Friend and Me. I have those as B-sides on the CD single for the English version.
I love Vengo Del Sur! It's on a single for the English version as well. Sep 25, 05 | 10:55 am
