Does anyone have information who Sting will have with him at Live 8? We know Dominic will be there through his website; also that it won't be the Broken Music lineup, as Shayne will be touring with Marc Cohn. Any thoughts?

Really i thought it was just the broken music line-up! Maybe he'll get The Edge to replace Shayne!! ;)

My sister had a rabbit called Thumper - just thought you'd like to know that! lol!

I think it'll be the B.M. line up. I'm hopeing were gonna see ALOT more of that.No offence Lady D, but the Edge is fine where he is. I'm really diggin Shayne. ;-)

I think a lot of drummers could take Shaynes place for this since it's short
term, Manu, Vinnie, STEWART, Oh sorry lost my head on that one for a minute, must have been daydreaming.

Shayne plays guitar. Josh Freese was the drummer. As far as I know, he is busy preparing for a tour with A Perfect Circle and probably doing some session work.

I am thinking that what you will get at this Live 8 is a 15-20 minute set of Sting and Dominic Miller on acoustic guitars. Every Breath You Take, Message In A Bottle, and some other songs. Then Sting will return to sing with Madonna.

I think the Glarb is correct, a similar performance to Live Aid with Sting and Branford, now we get Sting and Dominic, that's my prediction...

Then a return later on with Madonna, and a grand finale with all the singers for Every Breath, "we'll be watching you", maybe with Stewart and Andy????????

I also agree with glarbage and Trini. I'd say "some other song" would have to be Fragile. I think it's very possible we'll see Andy though, but not Stewart.Unfortunitly I don't think this is the type of even that's going to give us the "reunion" :-(

I think you're right there 'Probably Me'.Already confirmed for Live8
is a Pink Floyd Reunion, and just now I read a Sex Pistols Reunion is looking very likely aswell for July 2nd.I fear even though this is fantastic news if true,it may well scupper our dream of a Reunion by The Police !

If a Reunion by The Police were to be the only
major artists to get back together especially for Live 8,it
would have been sublime. But if they were to announce it now,
they could be seen as copying the other bands....
